Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Treatment
Our providers offer a treatment for individuals diagnosed with OSA who currently rely on continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy.
The FDA-approved, implantable device designed to replace traditional CPAP machines works by applying gentle stimulation to key airway muscles during sleep. This often eliminates the need for CPAP machines, masks and hoses and can offer a more comfortable alternative. The device is placed under the skin of the neck and chest during an outpatient procedure.
Ideal candidates for implantable sleep apnea treatment include those who have a previous diagnosis of moderate to severe sleep apnea, are age 18 or older, are not classified as obese and who have not had consistent beneficial results from CPAP therapy.
The procedure is covered by most commercial insurance plans.
